Recently, The Today Show had some great tips for shopping at outlet malls. A few that stood out to me are:
• Shop off-peak times; during the week either right when the store opens, or just before closing.Look online for coupon books sold specifically for the outlet mall you will be shopping at, or for store-specific coupons. Also go to the information center of the mall for coupons.
• Map out the outlets and make a route of the stores you want to visit, prioritizing them. That way you hit the stores you want to hit the most, first! (While you still have money!)
• Make friends with the sales people. She said they will often call you when things go on clearance. I've never tried this, but I don't see why it wouldn't work!
